Sure nowhere in the captions does it say any of these people are Republicans or Democrats, but ya have to know the area. Strong union Democrats, the lot of them. And this slide pisses me off. Look at me I own a business and I have a big gun, and I don't vote for people with foreign sounding names. Brilliant. Then again the whole Hussein middle name is months old, and good old J-town is just now getting into it. Maybe next week they'll start the whole 'He's a secret Muslim' meme, and then finally get the Rev. Wright emails.

Related, you don't see much on the Muslim fear mongering now that the Wright shit hit the fan.

...i don't think that we have any reason to believe that american troops won't be there for 100 years. if you look at his follow-up remarks when grilled on the point, you'll see that (he says) he's comparing it to having troops in korea and japan and kuwait and...everywhere else we've ever been (and won). the only interesting point was in his follow-up when he said that as long as we're not taking casualties, nobody cares. he's right on that point.

no president elected in 2008 will "bring the troops home." should that president remove our presence within 4 years? hell yes! will that president? no.

no stickers on my 49 mpg vw golf tdi either. i don't believe in either major party or any of the candidates.

Whenever McCain is grilled about anything his routine is the same. He didn't say that, he said it as shorthand, he means exactly the opposite. For fuck's sake the man routinely changes church affiliation depending on which side of the Mason-Dixon Line he's on, Episcopalian in the north, Baptist in the South.

I don't like the major parties either but there's finally one candidate they've presented who has, over the past 15 months, utterly failed to change his stances, be hypocritical, or weasel his way out of difficult situations. McCain -- having himself suffered torture and fighting in the Senate to prevent it, now thinks it's just peachy. Fuck that and fuck him.

So, we definitely have functionally differing definitions of "horrible", as I reserve that label for people who intentionally do harm to people for no particular reason other than their own selfish intents (like, say, Jeffrey Dahmer, John Gacy, Dennis Nilssen, Adolf Hitler, and the like) where I'm not sure what your criteria is, but the "not fit to be president" thing is hilarious. Have we ever had a president who was "fit to be president", or are we just forgetting all the old devils in favor of the assumption that because there's a current devil, obviously the prior devils were angels?

I would say those types of people were worse than horrible. If I taste food that I don't like, I say it tastes horrible. I've never had food that tasted like the holocaust. So I accept that we do have differing definitions of horrible. I don't equate a horrible person with an evil person. I don't think John McCain is a good person, but I also don't think he's evil. He's just stupid, mentally unstable, and not really leader material.

I didn't say anything about anyone else. As you know, I'm nothing close to a fan of George W. Bush, but at least I can see how he is acting in his own self interests (e.g. financial profit) to continue the war in Iraq. McCain seems like a true believer in the war, and has proven that he has a shallow knowledge about the situation there. A guy that doesn't know al Qaeda is Sunni is not going to have a good foreign policy.

With all that being said, I have been saying for a while that I'd prefer a McCain presidency over a Clinton presidency. However, I'm rethinking that as I learn more about him. Obama is no saint either, and despite his egotism and apparent hypocrisy on some issues, I'd prefer him over the other two.

Foods that I don't like, I don't consider 'horrible'; just not tasty. Except mayonnaise, of course, which is a heinous crime against humanity in and of itself. Another area our definitions differ is that I don't believe in "evil"; there are only actions, and whether those actions are palatable to you or me is entirely a subjective function. For instance, James Huberty killed a number of people in a McDonalds in San Ysidro, CA, years and years ago. Many would say that taking a light machine gun into a fast food restaurant with armor piercing rounds and opening fire at civilians he didn't know was "evil", when, technically, the only thing anyone can prove was that Huberty, on the day in question, definitely performed a series of actions, and those series of actions resulted in what would largely be called "premature" deaths. Ultimately, though, everyone who died that day would have eventually died, anyway, and a thousand years from now, it will all be rendered completely irrelevant, as everyone who was directly affected by his actions would long since be gone.

That said, I'm not defending McCain here (don't think you thought I was); I'm simply saying that every single president this country has ever had was a selfish, "unqualified" twit, and that never stopped a single one of them from being president, so "not fit to be leader" strikes me as a non-universal, entirely subjective judgement call on your part, as opposed to anything resembling a factual representation of the individual's predicted competence.

Something about the bizzare flash suppressor on the end of the barrel. The oversized shroud on the scope (I doubt the optics are that length). The (admittedly damn cool) crazy wood grain used for the stock (if plastic, it loses all coolness).. The bi-pod at the end of the barrel is the only legit looking thing on it. (I can't make out the bolt or the trigger, that might have helped).

This thing looks more like a prop from a bad sci-fi movie..

From what I can see in the picture, that hard working americaan was attacked by an angry herd of buck deer, and their evil sidekick, Yogi the Bear. Luckily, he just happened to be armed with a high-powered rifle (with silencer, no less!) and killed them all with one shot, 200 yards away, before they had a chance to trample his lawn. Brave stuff.

Now, the beautiful but dead attackers have their heads on his wall, and Yogi serves snacks to visitors . . . a fitting end.
