It's Sunday now.  Had a little too much of the Yunegling Black and Tan last night.  Not too much that I wrote a drunken Husiary or anything but still.

Got a call from Philly friend.  His Dad had clickedon an 'ad' that claimed he had a virus, and well now he had a virus.  My friend had tried runing the AV and Spyware app onthe PC but the little bugger Antivirus 2008 it was called, blocked these apps from running.  So I had him boot into Safe mode with networking and directed him to safety.live.com.  An hour later he calls back and tells me it was all fixed. 

I biked about an hour yesterday and then about 80 minutes today.  My water bladder was not all thawed so I ran out of water near the end on both days.  I guess that's a as good as place as any to not have water.  I even put the bladder out for 40 minutes today before biking.  The backpack I bought must really insulate or something.

There were tons of people on their inflatable rafts all screaming as if the rapids in this part of the river are scary.  I did see a lot of actual kayakers too.  The rail line was busy too, the usual scenic railroad 6 car excuriosn and than a Norfolk Souther freight train, that had two Conrail engines assisting.  It was I'd say 99% tankers.  Slow going even though it was on the down slope.

Hacked on some Perl Saturday night.Still trying to decide on what to do with my personal website.  installed jQuery and used just a snippet to do some AJAXy update a div with my Twitter status.  Right now I have the Perl parsing the xml I download manually with cURL, andthen the jQuery loading that file into a shtml page.  That could be written to just have the jQuery grab the status from Twitter's site automatically.  I have Twitter, delicious, last.fm, and Youtube to pull data from.  I just need to write something, get the creative jucies flowing again.

I also uploaded my State Parks html.  Reading thru them made me nostalgic for that tiem when I went visiting parks on a whim.  I really should get back into that again.
